I just got back from a Safari with them and it was magical from the variety of animals we saw to the delicious food and friendly people. Nyemo answered all my questions before we arrived and everything was arranged as well as executed as described. Girbat (Gilbert) was our friendly and very knowledgeable guide/driver. Any question I had about the animals Girbat knew the answer (he is an incredible wealth of knowledge!!) and he ensured our Safari was comfortable and met our expectations throughout the week. The food by the chef Patrick was delicious and plentiful. He catered to our food needs. Both Girbat and Patrick’s joyful and friendly demeanor contributed to a great time. The bandas had the necessities (toilet, shower, bed) - imagine a rustic cabin, which were comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of photos, laughs, animals and shared meals making a very memorable experience. The Safari I had been saving up for was everything I hoped for and I highly recommend booking with Zepisa Safari.Steve B2024-03-23An excellent experience all around! From the time we booked with Nyemo through to the conclusion of our time with Zepisa Safari it was a more than 5 Star experience. We booked a budget safari of Ruaha National Park. The communication with Nyemo was excellent. When we met Girbat (Gilbert) our driver and guide at the hotel our in country experience started and the 5 Star experience continued. Girbat was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He was always willing to accommodate our requests. We saw so much wildlife in its natural habitat. We stayed at the Tourist Bandas in the park and Innocent and his team were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The bandas were clean and offered the basic amenities that you need. Remember to bring shampoo if you want to wash your hair, they do provide towels and bar soap. The beds had mosquito nets and the windows had screens. Each room had at least one plug and the plug type was the UK style. Our chef was Patrick and the food was amazing! It was flavorful, plentiful and healthy. We couldn’t believe the variety of food offered and the quality of presentation given the small kitchen he had to work with. The food was overall 5 star for our needs. The vehicle used was of good quality and provided a comfortable ride and excellent opportunity for viewing the various animals, birds and insects. I do not have a negative thing to say about the entire experience. I cannot wait to return and would not hesitate to use or recommend Zepisa Safaris for your Tanzanian Safari.Ayendra2024-02-08Excellent service from start to finish From start to finish we had an amazing experience. From booking via email, Nyemo always provided speedy replies and answered any questions we had before making the booking. Airport pick up and transfer was seamless. We were taken around Arusha by Peter and given a tour of a few spots. All the hotels/camps we stayed at were to a very high standard. Our guide, Peter, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and welcoming. He really looked after us well. Everyone we met was so polite and went out of their way to be helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and we will certainly be back again in future. Thank you for the perfect holiday.Isabelle2024-02-02Amazing experience with a great guide/driver, very nice food and accommodation Our family of four just returned from our private 5-day/4-night safari to Serengeti, manyara, tarangire and ngorongoro with Zepisa African Safaris. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend Zepisa African Safaris! Planning was easy and Nyemo was very helpful and informative. Their prices were very reasonable, and the door-to-door service by Gilbert once we arrived at the airport made the trip easy. Our guide and driver, Gilbert, was absolutely fantastic. We really appreciated that he taught us so much about the animals, birds and even the plants. He found every animal we wanted to see and could spot and identify them from so far away. It was easy to spend 5 days with such a kind and friendly person!Veronique12W2023-12-11Amazing Experience - Above and Beyond! My Husband and I went to Tanzania for our honeymoon and chose to do our safari through Zepisa African Safaris. I have previously done a safari in Uganda so I had some idea of what to expect, but the trip honestly was better than I ever could have imagined. We cannot stop talking about how impressed we were with Gilbert, our guide for the trip. Gilbert really went above and beyond every single day of the trip; we ended every day feeling like he had done everything that he possibly could have to make our safari that day as amazing as possible. In addition to his knowledge of wildlife (especially birds - wow!), he knew so much about photography and never failed to get us in a position for the best lighting possible. Obviously a lot of what you will see is dependent on nature, but Gilbert did everything he could to make sure we saw as much as possible. We saw all of the big five - we did not expect to see any rhinos, but ended up seeing six (three in Ngorongoro and three in Serengeti!). We also saw a leopard carrying a zebra in a tree in the Serengeti, which was a truly unforgettable experience. While there were countless things that Gilbert did to make our trip perfect, there are two examples that I want to share. The first was in the Ngorongoro Crater. We had been there all day, and the park was closing soon, but Gilbert went out of his way to take us to a hippo pool. We were the only car there, and got to watch three hippos get out of the water and walk right in front of the car. It was such a special experience and made possible by Gilbert choosing to stay as late in the park as was permitted. The second was in the Serengeti. I asked if there were cheetahs in the area that we were in, and Gilbert deducted that I was hoping to see more cheetah. Somehow, he knew exactly where to go to find two cheetahs that had been hiding and let us spend an hour with them getting tons of great pictures. For the entire trip, we never felt rushed or pressured. Gilbert always made sure to give us enough time with the animals, but could sense when we were ready to move on. Everything else was great as well. The company was great to work with during the planning phase and helped a lot with selecting our lodges. We stayed at Mount Meru Arusha, Maramboi Tented Lodge, Kitela Lodge, Serena Ngorongoro lodge, Elewana Pioneer Camp Serengeti, and Z Hotel Zanzibar. I will write separate reviews for each of these, but they were all great. Pioneer Camp was by far our favorite (the coolest place we have ever stayed), but we also loved Mount Meru, Maramboi, and Kitela. Serena Ngorongoro was good, but it was definitely an older crowd (as honeymooners, we were in our late 20's and felt like we didn't see anyone at the hotel below the age of 40 while we were there). But the views were excellent from our room and we didn't really have any complaints. The transportation we received to our first hotel in Arusha and to and from our last hotel in Zanzibar was also excellent. Overall, it was the trip of a lifetime and I would recommend using Zepisa African Safaris to everyone I know - the cost was fair and I can't imagine how we could have possibly had a better experience than we did with them. If you are on the fence, just book with them! You will not regret it!Miriam2023-11-19Great custom made experience! Zepisa African Safaris was incredible from the beginning to the end of our trip. They were easy to work with to customize our dream safari. We visited the Ruaha, Mikumi and Nyerere National park and the schedule was made so that we spent the perfect amount of time in each destination. The lodges they chose for us were beautiful, clean, and filled with delightful, helpful staff. The safari was an amazing adventure with a world-class guide. Our guide, Gilbert, did everything he could to make it a memorable experience. Our last day in the Ruaha we still had not seen a Leopard and he drove for 10/11 hours hunting for the elusive Leopard - which we finally saw! Gilbert’s knowledge, humor, and driving skills made this trip unforgettable - he is a true Superman. Zepisa African Safaris exceeded our expectations in every way and I highly recommend them for your next safari.laurent12023-11-19Expectacular Team and Amazing Experienc Long story short... AMAZING!!!!! Our experience was excellent since our first email requesting a quote until saying Good bye to our guide Nyemo We searched around for months before making our decision. But the communication was great with them. We got a lot of information that helped us well prepare our trip. We did Tarangire and Ngorongoro. The guide Nyemo had an answer for everything. We learned a lot with him. I do recommend this company to anyone. I'm glad we went with Zepisa African Safaris!Nikolaos1122023-11-02The trip of a lifetime! Exceeded our expectations in every way possible! My wife and I spent two years planning this trip, so we looked at every tour service out there. Nearly all of them had great reviews, but we were able to narrow it down to a few that we reached out to for more information. What set Zepisa African Safaris apart from the very beginning was how thorough and thoughtful their responses were to all of our (sometimes silly) questions. We often didn’t even know what to ask, but we wanted to be as prepared as possible for this trip, so we sent many emails to Zepisa African Safaris, and without exception got the answers to all of our questions and many more! Our contact, Nyemo, spent literally months helping us make decisions about how to create the best possible itinerary based on exactly what we were hoping to do and see. He was so patient with us, as we made change after change to our trip. Dates, lodging, where and how to see the most spectacular wildlife Africa has to offer, we would approach Nyemo with questions about what we could add (like the hot air balloon safari that was one of the absolute highlights of the trip) or how to change our route to ensure staying at a certain location (like the Melia Serengeti Lodge…another highlight). Nyemo told us that Zepisa African Safaris understands that for many people, like us, this is truly a once in a lifetime experience, and he and the company will do everything within their power to make sure it’s perfect. By the time we headed to Africa, thanks to Nyemo, we were perfectly prepared for everything in store for us. We had no idea that our already-high expectations were going to be exceeded every single day. I imagine no two trips are alike, as with a safari, you plan your trip around where the animals move to during very specific times of the year. So, there’s no point outlining which route we chose for the particular dates we were in Tanzania, but we visited the following locations (sometimes more than once): • Lake Manyara National Park • Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area • North Serengeti National Park • Central Serengeti National Park • Southern Serengeti National Park • Arusha Every location was wildly different and wildly…wild. If you’re even considering a trip to Tanzania, you know the appeal already. Lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, hippos, rhinos, every type of gazelle you can imagine, etc., etc., etc. All in one of the most beautiful and unique countries on Earth. What we were not prepared for was the sheer amount of all of this wildlife and beauty. Around every corner, down every road. Something in every part of every park that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. And it just doesn’t end. And that’s to say nothing of the experience of visiting Tanzania. It is a completely sensory experience that words and even photos don’t begin to do justice. Speaking with the locals, eating the foods, driving the roads, and hearing and seeing everything Tanzanian culture entails can only be experienced in the flesh. We had friends and family who had been before, and they all said essentially the same thing. “It changes you.” The last thing I want to say is that our trip would have been outstanding regardless of who we were lucky enough to have as a guide. But our guide, Gilbert, may have been the best part of our entire time in Tanzania. From the time Gilbert picked us up at the airport until the time he dropped back off to head home, we were smiling and laughing. I honestly don’t know that I’ve ever met a person with the kind of infectious charisma Gilbert brings to every conversation. Every single place we visited; everyone knew Gilbert. I’m sure all of the guides are knowledgeable and friendly. You couldn’t last long in that business without those skills. But Gilbert is something special. If you’ve ever been around someone who seems to effortlessly be instant friends with everyone they encounter, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s hard to imagine this trip without having Gilbert as our guide. He was a huge part of what made our time in Africa so completely perfect, so when you go to Tanzania, first…get in touch with Nyemo at Zepisa African Safaris, and second (and I cannot stress this enough), tell Nyemo you want Gilbert. What was great: • Communicating with Nyemo from beginning to end • The truck! We had everything we needed, including TONS of space to move around to get the perfect view of all the wildlife. • The accommodations. Every place we stayed, at every price point, was breathtaking. • The food! Both at lodges/tent camps, and even more importantly, while we were out on game drives, the food was absolutely incredible. This is one thing Zepisa African Safaris does better than any other tour operator (now that we’ve been and eaten with and around other guide services), and it’s really not even close. Every meal we had was a) delicious and b) ridiculously elaborate. When guides are out on game drives during the day, they pack lunches for their clients, and usually will all get together and eat in picnic areas out in the bush. This is fun for everyone, because the guides (and their guests) get a chance to talk and have a good time over lunch before getting back out to the wildlife. What we found is that our meals, which were hot and prepared by the lodge that we had come from, were always met with longing stares from the clients with other guides. I’m sure their food was good, but Gilbert would set out our table full of hot food and wine and coffee and tea, and it just made our days that much better knowing that whenever we were hungry and needed a break for a bite to eat and something to drink, it was going to be every bit as good as the food we were getting at the lodges! The value. These trips cost a good deal of money. They involve traveling across the world, staying in (often) luxurious lodges and eating world class food, all while having a driver with you every step of the way that takes care of every need you might have. We saved a lot of money to go on this trip, and all I can tell you is that we’d do it again in a second. I never once found myself thinking we should have found a way to cut a corner here or there. We got every dime’s worth out of this trip, thanks entirely to Zepisa African Safaris making everything easy on us. All we ever had to worry about was running out of memory card space on our cameras. What we would do differently: • Now that we’ve done it, the only thing we would change is somehow figuring out how to do more. Adding another day or two. Visiting one or two more parks. That’s it. I only wish that we had found a way to do more. But we’ll be back!Natanael S2023-10-27Very professional The 3-day Ruaha safari was amazing. Tanzania is a beautiful country and has so much to offer. With regard to Zepisa African Safaris: Everything was arranged and fixed, we didn’t have to worry about anything. Gilbert was the perfect guide who made this trip unforgettable. We saw all of the animals we wanted to see and made memories for a lifetime. Peter, our chef, cared for us the whole time. His food was amazing whether is was breakfast, lunch or dinner. The whole team is friendly and open-minded so we would choose Zepisa African Safaris again any time. Thanks again to the team and all the best for you!Nodoka2023-10-26Best trip ever!! I’ve been to 43 countries but it was the best trip ever for me! Sleeping in the camp with animals around, singing and dancing in the safari car while Nyemo was guiding us, smelling green from all the natures around… food was also fresh and tasty! I’d definitely recommend this tour company if you wanna make your stay in Tanzania special and fun. I’ll def come back :) 今までで一番楽しい旅行になりました。イケメンニェモとピエレのガイドは面白くて7日間があっという間!また来まーす👋🏻✨Load moreShowing our latest reviews
