Best Time To Visit – Arusha National Park

The best time to visit Arusha Np is during the dry season, which runs from June to October. The weather is mild, and wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around water sources. However, if you’re interested in birdwatching, the wet season from November to May is the best time to go. During this time, the park is lush and green, and many migratory bird species flock to the area.

Weather & Climate

Arusha National Park experiences a temperate climate due to its high altitude. During the dry season, the weather is generally mild, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius (59 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit). However, temperatures can drop significantly during the night, so it’s important to bring warm clothing. The nearest international airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport, which is about an hour’s drive away. From the airport, visitors can arrange ground transportation to the park. Alternatively, those coming from the nearby Tarangire, Lake manyara, Serengeti or Ngorongoro Conservation Area can opt for a road transfer to the park.
