Ruaha Tourist bandas

Ruaha Tourist bandas
Lounging under the shade of a baobab tree, a baby elephant eagerly awaits her afternoon snack. Her mother, the matriarch, tears off a branch to the delight of the infant. Ruaha has the highest concentration of elephants anywhere in East Africa. Here, you’re at crossroads between southern and eastern safari ecosystems.
Per person
The Ruaha Tourist bandas have been recently renovated and now have attached a flush western toilet and cold shower. Good beds (single) and nets. Metal huts but thatch roof and insulated walls (vinyl cushions?) so don’t get too hot if you get one under a tree. Nice river views with plenty of animal visitors. The central kitchen is a bit grim but reasonable meals at the cottage restaurant (4km away) or park HQ (500m)
