9 Days Wildebeest Calving Season Safari
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; Arusha-Tarangire National Park
Early Morning Transfer by Road, Arusha to Tarangire National Park. We’ll take you out on an evening game drive in Tarangire National Park. It’s when temperatures cool, the light is golden and predators set out to hunt.
Day 2; Tarangire National Park
Full Day Game drive. Explore one of Tanzania’s most rewarding national parks, a land of big baobab trees, big elephants, and big cats. No wonder this ends up being the favorite park in Tanzania for many visitors. Sightings of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys, and zebras are also almost guaranteed. Lions are plentiful here – Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s healthiest lion populations. While you’ll have to work a little harder to see a cheetah or leopard, it will only enhance your excitement when you do. You can also look forward to classic safari scenery – savannah plains, river woodlands, and rocky hills. Overnight at Tarangire Rest house.
Day 3; Tarangire-Serengeti National Park
Early Morning Transfer by Road, Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park. You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the numbers and variety of animals.
Track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas, and kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re really lucky you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images.
Overnight at Serengeti Taji House; You’re going to be staying with us at Serengeti taji house. It’s an excellent base for getting to know the region and getting ready for what comes next.
Day 4; Serengeti National Park

Day 5; Serengeti -Ndutu
Afternoon Transfer by Road, Serengeti National Park to Ndutu. Off the main route between Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, and in the far south of the latter, Ndutu is a smaller-scale, more intimate version of one of Tanzania’s best wildlife regions. It’s a fabulous destination year-round, and this is where millions of wildebeest give birth to their calves when the great migration passes through, often with plenty of predators nearby. It also has all of the essential elements of the Serengeti’s appeal, including big horizons and incredible wildlife, but without the crowds, you’d share it with elsewhere.
Overnight at African Safari South Serengeti; African Safari south Serengeti will be your base on this leg of your trip.
Day 6-7; Ndutu
You’ll go on a guided game drive looking for the wildlife of Ndutu. Our guide will add so much to your understanding of what you see.
