Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; Arusha-Tarangire

Early Morning Transfer by Road, Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Late afternoon Explore fantastic Tarangire on a guided game drive that will take you out among the baobab trees to look for lions, elephants, and more.

Explore one of Tanzania’s most rewarding national parks, a land of big baobab trees, big elephants, and big cats. No wonder this ends up being the favorite park in Tanzania for many visitors. Sightings of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras are also almost guaranteed. Lions are plentiful here – Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s healthiest lion populations. While you’ll have to work a little harder to see a cheetah or leopard, it will only enhance your excitement when you do. You can also look forward to classic safari scenery – savannah plains, river woodlands, and rocky hills.

Overnight at Tarangire rest house: Tarangire rest house will be your base on this leg of your trip.

Day 2; Tarangire NP full day

You’ll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Tarangire National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you’ll hopefully see many animals. Overnight at Tarangire rest house.

Day 3; Tarangire-Serengeti Np

Early this morning we’ll be taking you to the next stage of your safari, but you’ll also get to enjoy one last game drive along the way.  Late afternoon guided game drive through Serengeti National Park is one of the best safari experiences you can have anywhere in Africa. Apart from the signature savannah grasslands and the park’s amazing wildlife, your guide will show you all that’s good about the Serengeti.  Overnight at Serengeti taji house.

Day 4; Serengeti Np Full Day

You’ll be joining us in Serengeti National Park for a guided game drive. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.  You won’t find many better national parks in Africa than the Serengeti, which has few rivals when it comes to both the numbers and variety of animals.

Track down the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy the vast horizons that are perfect for spotting predators (especially lions, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas) and their prey (buffaloes, impalas, and kongoni), as well as elephants and giraffes. If you’re really lucky you’ll see a hunt, one of the most exhilarating sights anywhere in the wild. And at every turn, revel in its beauty, with flat-topped acacia trees silhouetted against the setting sun, and so many other classic African safari images. Serengeti.  Overnight at Serengeti taji house

Day 5; Serengeti-Ngorongoro

Morning Transfer by Road, Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater. This morning you’ll join us on a guided game drive through Ngorongoro Crater. Your first sight of Ngorongoro Crater is likely not one you’ll easily forget. As seen from the crater rim, this natural bowl, both vast and intimate, is one of Africa’s most beautiful natural features, stretching 19 green kilometers (12 miles) from one side to the other.

Down in the crater itself, you’ll explore an astonishingly rich, self-contained ecosystem that is protected by high crater walls. Here, lions and hyenas hunt wildebeest and Grant’s gazelle within sight of elephants and black rhinos. Your day spent here will reveal a surprising variety of habitats, from the Lereal Forest and salty Lake Magadi to the plains that rise and fall gently all across the valley floor. Late afternoon Transfer by Road, Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu. Overnight at Sumawe lodge.

Day 6; Lake Manyara-Arusha

On your guided game drive through Lake Manyara National Park this morning, you might see lions up trees as well as lots of elephants in the forest. It’s a fantastic way to get to know the park and learn its many secrets.  Where the plains of northern Tanzania meet the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a wonderful place to spend a safari day. Your highlights for the day might include getting up close and personal with the elephants that made this park famous, lots of baboons, as well as one of the few lion populations in Africa that spend much of their time in the trees. Between the forests at the foot of the escarpment and the lake that gives the park its name, enjoy rich birdlife and the chance of seeing predator ambush their prey.

Late afternoon Transfer by Road, Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha. We’re sure it really has been a wonderful trip, but sadly it’s time for it to end. It has been an honor to look after you and hopefully provide you with many safari memories. We hope to see you again next time you go on a safari.
