Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Natron
Depart from Arusha in the early morning and drive to Lake Natron, located in the northern part of Tanzania. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Maasai Steppe, passing by small villages and local farmland. Arrive at Lake Natron in the afternoon and check into your lodge. Take a guided walk to the shores of Lake Natron, known for its pink-colored soda ash and diverse birdlife. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your accommodation and catch a beautiful sunset over the lake. Day 2: Serengeti National Park
Wake up early and have breakfast before departing for Serengeti National Park. Drive through the Rift Valley to the Serengeti, enjoying the stunning landscapes along the way. Spend the day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, known for its abundant wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeest. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue your game drives in search of the Big Five. In the evening, arrive at your accommodation in the heart of the Serengeti and relax around the campfire under the starry African sky. Day 3: Ngorongoro crater
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, where you may have a chance to witness predators hunting or the Great Migration en route to the beautiful scenery of the Ngorongoro Highlands, with its lush forests and picturesque farming villages. Arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. Descend into the crater for a full day of game drives, exploring the diverse ecosystem and spotting wildlife such as zebras, buffalo, and rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool and marvel at the stunning views of the crater from the lookout points. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and drive to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest. Dinner and overnight stay at an Octagon Lodge in Karatu (Mid-range lodge located outside Ngorongoro Crater)
Day 4: Tarangire to Arusha
After breakfast, depart from your accommodation in Karatu and drive to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is known for its large herds of elephants and diverse birdlife, so be on the lookout for these incredible creatures as you drive through the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue your game drives, exploring the different habitats and landscapes of Tarangire. Visit the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife in the dry season, and observe the animals as they come to drink and bathe. In the afternoon, start your journey back to Arusha, passing through local villages and farmland. Arrive in Arusha in the evening, where your safari comes to an end.
